'I would be very doubtful, if it weren't for what really does look like a drone on the right shoulder; not sure about 'fox' though; ; the romanesque sculpture website suggests this is early 12th century, in which case we would have to be totally convinced this is a bagpipe, since no other exists as early as this, and if that is a drone then it predates any long drone I've seen;

(There is, however some slight suggestion that the carving may be later medieval)
